Glazed Pineapple Bars

- 2 1/4 c. sifted flour shopping list
- 1 1/2 c. sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 (20-0z.) can crushed pineapple in juice shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 1 1/3 c. flaked coconut shopping list
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts shopping list
- vanilla glaze shopping list
How to make it
- Sift together flour, sugar, baking soda and salt into bowl.
- Add undrained pineapple, eggs and vanilla.
- Beat until smooth, using electric mixer at medium speed.
- Pour into greased 15 1/2x10 1/2x1" jellyroll pan.
- Sprinkle with coconut and walnuts.
- Bake in 350 degree oven 20 minutes, or until no inprint remains when touched lightly with finger.
- Cool slightly in pan on rack.
- Prepare vanilla glaze.
- While bars are still warm, pour vanilla glaze over all.
- Cool completely. Cut into 4x1" bars.
- Makes 40.

- Vanilla Glaze:
- Combine 3/4 c. sugar, 1/2 c. butter or regular margarine and 1/4 c. evaporated milk in 2-qt. saucepan; mix well.
- Cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.
- Remove for heat.
