Chocolate Chip Brownies

- 4 1-ounce squares unsweetened chocolate shopping list
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- pinch of salt shopping list
- 1/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1 cup chocolate chips (I use a whole bag) semi sweet is my favorite shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Line the bottom and sides of a 13x9 inch pan with wax paper and grease
- Melt the chocolate and butter in the top of a double boiler.
- Beat together the eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt.
- Stir in the chocolate mixture with egg mixture
- Sift over the flour and fold in.
- Add chocolate chips
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake until just set, about 30 minutes.
- Do not overbake; the brownies should be slightly moist inside.
- Cool in the pan
- To unmold run a knife all around the edge and invert onto a cookie sheet. Remove the paper. Place another sheet on top and invert again so the brownies are right side up.
- Cut into squares for serving
- Add vanilla ice cream as a topping to cut the chocolate
