Italian Prune Plum Nut Bread

- 1 cup butter shopping list
- 2 cups granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 3 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 3/4 cup lemon yogurt shopping list
- 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel shopping list
- 2 cups diced Italian prune plums cut in 1/2" pieces shopping list
- 1 cup chopped pecans shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350.
- In large bowl cream butter, sugar and vanilla until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time beating after each addition.
- Sift together flour, salt, cream of tartar and baking soda.
- Blend yogurt and lemon peel then add to creamed mixture alternately with dry ingredients.
- Stir until well blended then add plums and nuts and mix well.
- Divide between 2 greased and floured loaf pans and bake 55 minutes.
