So easy to do and really a rare treat to eat. Can't do these too often, but the flavor is nice for the sum of the ingredients.

Made recipe for six, because we had six hot links and six mild links. Doubled the marinara and added some chopped onions. Braised in less than 90 minutes. Tested for doneness with an instant read therm. and it had an internal temperature of 175. Extra care in changing the position of the rollups in the sauce, the cheese will leak out and can burn on the bottom of the pot. No worries, tasted great.

My resident critic said he would much prefer a noodle for the sauce instead of polenta. The polenta doesn't catch all the drippy sauce as well. He has a point. This really needs to sit overnight to let the fat congeal and have it scraped off the top. Much too fatty for me now, might try with an Italian turkey sausage instead of the hot pork link. Just a suggestion, folks.

Yummm. This would go well with a lot of Fresh veggies on the side to balance the richness. Tom won't eat polenta, so the noodle idea would work for him.
