Chile Garlic BBQ Salmon

- 3 pound whole salmon, cleaned shopping list
- 1/4 cup soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon chile sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger root, chopped shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, chopped shopping list
- 1 lime, juiced AND zested shopping list
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar shopping list
- 3 green onions, chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare outdoor grill for high heat.
- Trim the tail and fins off the salmon.
- Make several shallow cuts across the salmon's skin.
- Place salmon on 3 large, slightly overlapping sheet of aluminum foil.
- Stir together soy sauce, chile sauce, ginger and garlic in small bowl.
- Mix in lime juice, zest and brown sugar.
- Spoon sauce over salmon.
- Fold foil over the salmon and crimp edges to seal.
- IF USING COALS, move them to one side of the grill.
- Place fish on side of frill with no coals underneath and close the lid.
- IF USING GAS, place the fish on 1 side and turn off flame beneath it.
- Close the lid.
- Cook for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Remove to a serving platter.
- Pour accumulated juices over fish.
- Sprinkle with green onions.
