Cream Filled Cupcakes

- cake shopping list
- 1 box chocolate cake mix and the ingredients to make it ( I use Duncan Hines Chocolate Fudge) shopping list
- Filling shopping list
- 2 tsp. hot water shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1-7 oz. jar of marshmallow creme shopping list
- 1/2 cup shortening shopping list
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract shopping list
- Ganache frosting shopping list
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips shopping list
- 3/4 cup heavy cream shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare and bake cupcakes according to pkg. directions, using paper lined muffin cups
- Cool completely
- Filling
- Add water and salt to cup and let sit to dissolve salt
- Cool
- In mixing bowl, add marshmallow creme, shortening, powdered sugar and vanilla and beat until light
- and fluffy
- Add salt mixture and beat just to combine
- Put a small round pastry tip into a pastry or plastic bag and fill with cream filling
- Insert the tip halfway into top center of cupcake and fill with cream filling
- Ganache Frosting
- In double boiler, melt chocolate chips
- Add cream and stir until blended
- Cool And dip cupcake tops into frosting
- Chill 20 minutes or so to set frosting
- Store in refrigerator
