Spicy chipotle turkey burgers
From qwikdraw9 15 years agoIngredients
- 1 lb ground turkey shopping list
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro shopping list
- 2 chipotle chilis in adobo sauce, finely chopped shopping list
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon onion powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon season salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper shopping list
- shredded mozzarella cheese shopping list
- 4 hamburger buns shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat outdoor grill for medium high heat and lightly oil grate.
- Mix all ingredients through the pepper and form into 8 patties.
- Put as much mozzarella cheese as you want on top of one patty - put a second patty on top and seal the edges so you have a cheese filled center. Do for remaining 6 patties.
- Cook hamburgers on preheated grill until turkey is no longer pink - about 4 minutes per side.
- Serve on toasted buns with lettuce, tomato, mayo, etc.
- ***Note: I used an indoor grill and it took about 7 minutes to cook the burgers
- ****Optional: you can use some of the adobo sauce to spice up your condiments. I added some to hummus and used that instead of mayo - delicious!!!

I'm waiting for grilling season to begin so dad and I can make these - I think the charcoal flavor would be excellent for these...we might even invite you out when we make them!
