How to make it

  • In large bowl combine sugar, brown sugar, butter, extract and eggs then beat well.
  • Add flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, baking powder and salt then blend well.
  • Stir in nuts then divide dough into 3 equal parts and shape each into roll.
  • Wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate 2 hours then heat oven to 425.
  • Cut into 1/4" slices then place slices 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake 7 minutes then remove immediately from cookie sheets and allow to cool on racks.
