How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8-inch square pan.
  • Mix brown sugar, margarine, granulated sugar and orange juice in a bowl until smooth. Add egg whites, one at a time, beating until blended. Stir in pumpkin, corn syrup and molasses.
  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger and confectioners' sugar. Gradually add to pumpkin mixture, stirring until well blended.
  • Pour mixture into prepared pan. Bake until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 30 minutes. Cool.
  • Serve with whipped topping.
