Take 5 Bars
From adzell 15 years agoIngredients
- 2 cups crushed pretzels shopping list
- 1 cup melted butter shopping list
- 1 cup reduced fat peanut butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 cup evaporated milk shopping list
- 2 egg yolks shopping list
- 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped shopping list
- 1 jar caramel topping shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Combine pretzels & butter in the bottom of a 9X13 non stick pan & bake for 9 minutes (or until pretzels begin to brown slightly). Meanwhile, combine peanut butter, powdered sugar & salt. Microwave on high for 1 minute so that mixture is smooth.
- Pour the peanut butter over the pretzels & spread carefully until evenly covered. Chill for an hour or until peanut butter has hardened.
- Next, whisk (constantly) the evaporated milk & eggs in a medium sauce pan over medium-low heat until it thickens (do NOT boil).
- Place chopped chocolate in a medium sized bowl & slowly add in the hot milk mixutre. Stir until chocolate is melted & smooth.
- Chill in the fridge for 1-2 hours or until the chocolate layer has had time to cool & firm up.
- Before serving drizzle with caramel topping (per taste).
