How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Freeze peanut butter cups
  • In mixing bowl, cream peanut butter and butter
  • Gradually add sugars, beating until light and fluffy
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating until well blended
  • In mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt
  • Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture, mixing until well blended after each addition
  • Coarsely chop peanut butter cups
  • Fold into batter
  • Pour into greased 13x9 baking pan
  • Bake 55-60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
  • Cool on rack
  • Spread frosting over cake
  • Sprinkle with peanuts
  • Frosting
  • Melt chocolate in top of double boiler
  • In mixing bowl, combine rest of ingredients and beat until smooth
  • Add chocolate and beat until smooth
  • Chill until spread consistency
