White Chocolate Easter Bread

- 500 g flour shopping list
- 1 Pkg dry yeast shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 pinch salt shopping list
- 100 g butter shopping list
- 100 g white chocolate shopping list
- 150 ml milk or more if neeeded shopping list
- Filling: shopping list
- 150 g cut up dried apricots ( or dark or golden raisins ) shopping list
- 200 g white chocolate shopping list
- 50 g chopped pistachios shopping list
How to make it
- In a large bowl, combine flour and yeast
- Combine egg and salt
- Melt butter with cubed white chocolate and stir smooth
- Add the cold milk and mix all above together and knead into a dough by hand or use a kitchen machine with dough hook to achieve a smooth pliable dough, using more flour or milk as needed
- Place dough in oiled bowl and cover bowl with plastic and let rise in a warm place about 1 hour or doubled
- Then combine the cut up apricots, chopped white chocolate and the chopped pistachios
- Roll dough out into a 30 x 60 cm rectangle
- Lay on the fruit mixture 2 cm from all the edges, pressing mixture into the dough
- Roll up dough from each wide end as a sausage meeting in the center, tucking under the ends
- Let rest 15 mins at warm room temperature
- Bake at 180F about 35 to 40 minutes or golden and done
- Glaze if desired or sprinkle with powder sugar when cool
