Slice And Bake Pecan Shortbread

- 1 cup butter, softened shopping list
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 cup fine chopped toasted pecans shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- 2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
How to make it
- Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy.
- Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until mixture is smooth.
- Stir in pecans and vanilla.
- Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating at low speed until blended.
- Shape dough into 3 (10inch) logs; wrap logs separately in wax paper, and chill 4 hours.
- Cut each long into 28 slices, and place slices 1 inch apart on lightly greased baking sheet.
- Bake at 350 degreees for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden.
- Cool on wire racks.
- Makes 7 dozen.
