Plum Streusel Kuchen

Love the simplicity of this.
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 2 tbls. shortening shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 cup whipping cream shopping list
- 6 fresh plums, halved and sliced shopping list
- Topping shopping list
- 2/3 cup flour shopping list
- 2/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped shopping list
- 2 tbls. cold butter shopping list
- 2 tbls. whipping cream shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350
- In mixing bowl, add flour, sugar and baking powder
- Cut in shortening until mixture resembles fine crumbs
- In another bowl, beat egg and cream
- Add to flour mixture, and mix gently until mixture forms ball
- Press dough into a greased 13x9 baking dish
- Arrange plums over crust
- Topping
- In mixing bowl, add flour, sugar and pecans
- Cut in butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs
- Add cream and mix gently until moist crumbs form
- Sprinkle over plums
- Bake 35-40 minutes or until lightly browned
