Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tbls. shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 6 fresh plums, halved and sliced
  • Topping
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 2 tbls. cold butter
  • 2 tbls. whipping cream

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. In mixing bowl, add flour, sugar and baking powder
  3. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles fine crumbs
  4. In another bowl, beat egg and cream
  5. Add to flour mixture, and mix gently until mixture forms ball
  6. Press dough into a greased 13x9 baking dish
  7. Arrange plums over crust
  8. Topping
  9. In mixing bowl, add flour, sugar and pecans
  10. Cut in butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs
  11. Add cream and mix gently until moist crumbs form
  12. Sprinkle over plums
  13. Bake 35-40 minutes or until lightly browned
