How to make it

  • Beat yolks with sugar until thick and lemon colored, then beat in the cheese until smooth.
  • Beat whites till soft beaks and gently fold and blend into cheese mixture
  • Combine cold expresso with rum
  • Dip ( do not soak! ) ladyfingers quickly into liquid and shake off excess.
  • Llayer in a glass bowl or pan, carefully spread on some cheese mixture, add some grated chhcolate and repeat layers ending with cheese mixture and lastly more grated chocolate.
  • Chill ovenight in coldest part of refrigerator.
  • Garnish with plain or chocolate dipped strawberries if desired.
  • Refrigerate uneaten portions
  • Will keep up to three days well chilled, after that the ladyfingers may get too soggy
  • But I guess, there won't be any left to worry about that :)

    giggle: just use less booze or lightly brewed coffee, try some vanilla.!!! I did not find this recipe overpowering for my taste!

    I hope this one turns out...for some reason tiramisu is the only recipe I have problems with the coffee or alcohol always seems too strong, any advice?
