Don't remember how this became a regular recipe I make but it's a good one for egg lovers

Ingredients
  • 2 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tlbs mustard
  • 1 tbls. salt
  • 1 tbls. celery seed
  • 1 tbls. mustard seed
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 2 onions, thinly sliced
  • 12 hard boiled eggs, peeled

Directions
  1. In saucepan, combine all ingredients but onion and egg
  2. Bring to boil
  3. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 10 minutes
  4. Cool to room temp.
  5. Put eggs and onions in jar
  6. Cover with vinegar mixture
  7. Refrigerate 24 hours

This sounds great! I absolutely love German food. I do have a couple questions though since I intend on making these.
1. The 2 Tablespoons of mustard, is that ground dried, yellow, dijon?
2. Which variety of onions work best?
