Ingredients
  • 2 T. butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 8 oz. can crushed pineapple
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 T. orange zest
  • 1/2 teas. vanilla
  • 1/4 teas. nutmeg
  • 1 loaf French Bread, cut in 1” slices
  • Topping:
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 T. corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions
  1. The night before, melt butter in 9X13” pan. Place bread slices evenly in pan, overlapping if necessary. Combine all ingredients (except topping) and pour over bread. Combine topping ingredients except for pecans, and spread over bread. Sprinkle with pecans. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 350º and bake for 40 minutes till golden brown.
