Rugelach

- 2 sticks butter, softened shopping list
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- 1 cup pecans, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup raisins shopping list
- This is the classic recipe but you can fill the dough with so many other fillings such as: shopping list
- chocolate chips and walnuts shopping list
- raspberry preserves shopping list
- apricot preserves shopping list
- nutella and hazelnuts shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350
- Beat butter and cream cheese until blended
- Gradually add flour, beating until blended
- Cover and chill 1 hour
- In mixing bowl, add sugar, cinnamon, pecans,raisins and combine
- Divide dough in half
- On lightly floured board, roll each half into a 14 inch circle
- Sprinkle each circle with sugar mixture
- Cut each circle into 12 pizza like wedges
- Roll up each wedge beginning at wide end
- Put on ungreased baking sheet, point side down
- Bake 15-18 minutes or until golden brown

I love rugelach, yes I do. I like to spread the dough with apricot jam and fill with chocolate, pecans, raisins (all chopped, of course)and cinnamon. They get inhaled around here.

Gonna go upstairs and make these for dessert tonight. I always buy them at Costco in the Mega Container but this is just the right size for 2 people. Thanks so much for the wonderful post!
