Ingredients
  • About 2 Tbls. olive oil and/or butter combo
  • McCormack's Roasted garlic and red bell pepper seasoning - just shake it in till happy
  • 1/2 cup chopped sweet onion (or whatever you like)
  • 1/2 cup (approx) cup milk or chicken broth (I used 1/4 cup broth cuz I had it leftover)
  • 8 oz. (approx) Light sour cream
  • Dill weed - 1 tsp.- more or less (didn't measure, just shook and tasted)
  • Dried tarragon - 1 tsp - "
  • Raw peeled deveined shrimp (about 20 - 25 / size 51-60 per lb.)
  • Old Bay seasoning - approx. 1 tsp (or to taste)
  • Cooked salmon filet (could be raw, I just had about 10 oz. cooked leftover filet)
  • Three-cheese stuffed tortellini - cooked according to directions - I used about 20

Directions
  1. Thaw shrimp if frozen (mine was) set aside
  2. Start water boiling for tortellini - cook when ready
  3. Meanwhile, heat olive oil/butter in large non-stick pan
  4. Add garlic/bell pepper seasoning (if you like fresh, use it, I just happen to find this convenient)
  5. Add onions and cook, stirring until translucent
  6. Here is where I sprinkle in some Wondra flour (just a little bit so the sauce will thicken)
  7. Slowly add 1/4 cup or so of broth or milk, stirring till worked in (rest is for after all ingred. are added and you want to make it thinner)
  8. Add sour cream and dill weed, tarragon, and Old Bay
  9. Add cold cooked salmon broken into pieces (or raw if that's what you're using)
  10. When tortellini is about 5 minutes from being done, add shrimp and stir occasionally till done
  11. *The shrimp don't take long to cook - Add strained tortellini when done to mix
  12. Add more broth or milk for a thinner consistency
  13. Simmer together for a couple minutes - serve immediately
  14. The entire meal can be done in 15 minutes or less, but looks like you slaved over it!
  15. Served ours with petite peas, but would be great with a green salad.
