Top Dog

OK really it's just a hot dog, but what a pooch it is! It's a Chilli Hot Dog that originates from South Carolina and quite the best I ever tasted!
Ingredients
- The Dogs shopping list
- -------------- shopping list
- 12 hot dogs of your choosing shopping list
- 12 Dog buns of your choosing shopping list
- The Sauce shopping list
- --------------- shopping list
- 1lb fine steak mince (the finer chopped the better) shopping list
- 4 medium sized white onions - chopped shopping list
- 4 Tbsp English or Dijon mustard (depending on taste) shopping list
- 3 tsp sugar shopping list
- 2 tsp apple cider or apple vinegar shopping list
- 2 medium heat chillies - finely chopped (more if you like it hot) shopping list
- 1 cup of tomato ketchup shopping list
- a pinch or two of salt shopping list
How to make it
- Put into a large pan. Mix in enough boiled water to cover and a little more besides for expansion.
- You are looking to make a thick mix. Stir until smooth.
- Add the remaining ingredients.
- Cook pretty slowly for 1 hour. You can thin it out with water or beer.
- Prepare the dogs in the usual way
- Pour over that sauce and Mmmmn!

Sorry, I'm a cheap date.. I love hot dogs... Going to try these this week end.. Kids will be with me, and we have fun food when they are here!
