Quick, frosty pick-me-up breakfast or snack smoothie flavored with espresso powder and malted milk powder. Ingredient amounts can be adjusted based upon your glass size and appetite! :)

Ingredients
  • 2 bananas, frozen and sliced into chunks
  • 3/4 cup plain non-fat yogurt
  • 3/4 cup milk or soy milk (more or less, if desired)
  • 3 tsp. espresso powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. malted milk powder (Ovaltine)
  • 1 tsp honey, agave nectar or sweetener of your choice
  • 2 tbsp. ground flaxmeal (optional)
  • Whipped cream and cocoa powder for garnish (optional)

Directions
  1. Place all ingredients in a blender (or food processor, if your dog knocked over and broke your blender...)
  2. Blend together for 30 seconds or until desired consistency
  3. Pour into serving glasses.
  4. Garnish with a little whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa powder, if desired.
