Easy Raspberry Cheese Danish

- 2 rolls of crescent roll dough shopping list
- 2 packages of room temperature cream cheese shopping list
- 1/2 cup of sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/2 tsp of fresh grated orange rind shopping list
- 1/2 cup of seedless raspberry jam, nuked 20 percent power/3 minutes shopping list
- 1 egg beaten shopping list
- 1 cup of confectioner's sugar shopping list
- 2 tsp of milk shopping list
- 1/2 tsp of fresh grated orange rind shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 360 degrees (my oven needs to be calibrated)
- line a 13 x 9 pan with one can of crescent rolls.
- Pinch seams to seal.
- Whip the cream cheese with the sugar, vanilla and the first part of the orange rind.
- Spread over the crescents leaving a small border.
- Melt jam, cool slightly, spread over the cream cheese mixture.
- Top with the other tube of crescent dough (I rolled it out on my cutting board to seal the edges, measure 13 x 9 approx and rolled it over the rolling pin to transfer over the filing.)
- Beat egg, brush top of dough.
- Bake for 25 minutes until lightly golden.
- Allow to cool 15 minutes.
- While it cools, sift confectioner's sugar, add orange rind and milk to glazing consistency. Drizzle over cooled cheese crescents.
- Cut in squares and serve.
