Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 360 degrees (my oven needs to be calibrated)
  • line a 13 x 9 pan with one can of crescent rolls.
  • Pinch seams to seal.
  • Whip the cream cheese with the sugar, vanilla and the first part of the orange rind.
  • Spread over the crescents leaving a small border.
  • Melt jam, cool slightly, spread over the cream cheese mixture.
  • Top with the other tube of crescent dough (I rolled it out on my cutting board to seal the edges, measure 13 x 9 approx and rolled it over the rolling pin to transfer over the filing.)
  • Beat egg, brush top of dough.
  • Bake for 25 minutes until lightly golden.
  • Allow to cool 15 minutes.
  • While it cools, sift confectioner's sugar, add orange rind and milk to glazing consistency. Drizzle over cooled cheese crescents.
  • Cut in squares and serve.
