How to make it

  • Place all ingredients into a deep frying pan and cook covered on a low heat for approximately 1 hour or until meat and veggies are tender and liquid has reduced.
  • Stir occasionally.
  • Allow meat mixture to cool before pouring into pastry.
  • Put bottom crust in pie plate, spread mixture evenly and place top pastry on mixture.
  • Trim and crimp the edges.
  • Create slits in the top pastry to allow the steam to escape.
  • Place in a 400 degree oven until lightly browned , 25 to 30 minutes, depending on oven.
