Ingredients
  • one 2-3 lb. chuck steak
  • Garlic Salt
  • 2 28oz. Cans of crushed Italian Tomatoes ( regular tomatoes work fine)
  • 1 or 2 TBS of Garlic Powder
  • 1 or 2 TBS of Onion Powder or Flakes ( or a diced small yellow onion)
  • 3 to 4 TBS of Olive Oil
  • 1/2 to 1 TBS of Salt
  • 1/4 to 1/2 TBS of Pepper
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup of grated cheese ( parmig., regiana, or pecorino will all work)
  • 1/2 cup of chopped fresh Basil

Directions
  1. Take steak out of package and wash and pat dry.
  2. Rub in a light sprinkling of Garlic Salt.
  3. Mix all the remaining ingredients together with the tomatoes.
  4. Spay a light dusting of olive oil spray( or rub in olive oil) into the bottom of a pyrex dish.
  5. Place a light coating of the sauce into the dish before adding in the steak.
  6. Pour the remaining sauce over the steak.
  7. Cover the pyrex dish tightly with aluminum wrap.
  8. Preheat the oven to 210 to 225 degrees and then cook for 4 to 5 Hours. When done, remove the steak and cut into bite sized chunks. Serve over your pasta of choice with the remaining sauce poured over.
