Pork Chops And Sauerkraut Recipe
Stovetop pork chops with onions,sauerkraut, apple sauce and a dollop of apple sauce. Absolute family favorite!!

Ingredients
  • 4 center cut pork chops
  • 1 medium yellow onion chopped
  • 1TBS. olive oil
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 cup of italian flavored breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup of applesauce
  • 1 to 2 TBS. of light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. caraway seeds
  • 1 jar of sauerkraut

Directions
  1. Saute onions in oil until golden brown.
  2. Dip chops in egg and then bread crumbs to coat.
  3. Push onions to the side and add more oil if necessary.
  4. When oil is hot, add pork chops and brown on both sides on medium heat.
  5. Add sauerkraut to the pan and mix with the onions, sprinkle the caraway seeds into the sauerkraut, and pour the soy on top of each chop.
  6. Then top each chop with a TBS> or two of applesauce.
  7. reserve remaining applesauce to serve with the meal.
  8. Reduce heat to lowest temp. and cover the skillet, and cook for 45 to 60 minutes.
  9. Stick knife into chop at end to check for tenderness.
  10. When tender it is ready to serve.
