Sulu Kofte - Turkish Meatball And Green Lentil

- For the meatballs- shopping list
- 1 pound ground beef shopping list
- 3/4 cup fine bulgur shopping list
- 1 sm-med onion finely grated shopping list
- ½ cup flour shopping list
- red pepper flakes approx 1/2 tbsp shopping list
- tomato paste 1 tbsp shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- approx 1 tbsp oil- or ½ cup water to coat the meatballs shopping list
- for the stew- shopping list
- ½ cup green lentil boiled shopping list
- 2 cups be flaked with bone shopping list
- 4 tbsp of butter shopping list
- 4-5 cups of meat broth shopping list
How to make it
- Wash fine bulgur with warm water and strain a side then add to Grated the onion, then mix all the ingredients for the meatballs together in a bowl and knead with hands for 5 minutes until everything is mixed together.
- To test and see if the meatballs will stay together when cooking, make one meatball about the diameter of a penny or a nickel by taking a dab of water(oil)on your hands and rolling the meat in the palm of your hands until if forms a sphere.
- Put this one meatball in a small cup of water (make sure the water covers the meatball) and let it sit for 5 minutes. If it falls apart, you must add more bulgur, if it stays together, you are ready to make your meatballs.
- and than in big pan ..boiled water, add meatballs, green lentil ,bones ..when they cooked almost 45 minutes..fired butter in a pan add some spiecys and add to boiled ingridients..
