Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine ground chuck and onion in large frying pan.
  • Cook over medium-high heat until onion is slightly carmelized. Drain well.
  • Add drained beef mixture to next eight (8) ingredients in a large stock pot.
  • Bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer about 3 hours.
  • Check water and salt content by taste. Add water as needed.
  • Remove bay leaf and add pasta.
  • Bring to a boil and cook until pasta is al dente'.
  • Serve with a crusty bread toasted with butter.
  • NOTE: May be adapted for crockpot by browning meat mixture first, adding additional water before crocking and cooking on low 8 hours, high 5-6 hours. Add pasta 40 minutes before finish time and increase temp to "high" to cook pasta.
  • Enjoy!! --Kn0x--
