I plan on trying this recipe. A suggestion for an alternate on the broth, I use a bullion cube and put it in a cup with a little water and nuke it for about 30 seconds. This can be used a a subsitute to maggi which is used in many german dishes. I use a bullion in most of my german dishes

My Grandmother made this same recipe, if I'm remembering correctly, she added a scant of celery seed. I'm not sure, I'll have to ask my sister.

There are about as many recipes for german potato salad as there are family - most families have their own recipes. this is certainly one of the cherished old ones with something added that could not be had in germany of old - the stalk celery (which i like also). it is a lovely recipe and it was fun 'finding' it again - its been ages since i ate it anywhere as people are so much into counting calories *sigh*
thank you for sharing - you certainly got my five!
