How to make it

  • Place the fresh basil ,black pepper honey ,garlic, red pepper ,olive oil and lemon juice in a food processor or blender and pulse to liquify.
  • Put the chicken breasts in a shallow non-aluminum baking dish or bowl. Pour the marinade over the chicken and toss well to coat. Let stand at room temperature at least 2 hours or cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Preheat the broiler to make a charcoal fire.. Sprinkle the chicken with salt and pepper. Broil or grill until the juices run clear, about 6 minutes each side. Serve hot with fresh tomatoes ,french fries ,fresh onion and ,white wine ..
  • Also u can use this chicken for borek … only u need phyllo dough …chicken borek is just great..

    Very good! This has great flavor and used up a bunch of my basil, which is a good thing ;) I did have to leave out the red pepper and I chose to broil mine, which makes me wonder if that's why mine doesn't look like the other pic?? Thanks so much for this awesome recipe Kuta!

    This was a good marinade. I made it as written, except that I halved the olive oil quantity, which seemed fine. I did use large garlic cloves - next time I'll use smaller ones & the lesser amount, because the garlic dominated the flavors of basil & honey. Kuta's suggested sides of French fries & a fresh tomato & onion salad was perfect. I chose to dress the salad with Kuta's "Turkish Shepherd's" parsley dressing ~ excellent choice, as the chicken that touched the dressing tasted even better!
