Streusel Stuffed Baked Apples

- 3/4 cup flour shopping list
- 3/4 dark brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats shopping list
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter or margarine, melted shopping list
- 3 medium red apples shopping list
- 3 medium green apples shopping list
- 1 cup apple juice shopping list
- 1/2 cup honey shopping list
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon shopping list
How to make it
- In a medium bowl combine the first 4 ingredients
- pinch to form coarse crumbs
- carefully scoop out the core of the apples (you can use a melon baller or a teaspoon) make sure not to go all the way to the bottom or to break the sides
- fill each apple with the streusel filling, stuffing the apples to the top
- place apples in a shallow baking dish (9x9)
- in a small bowl stir together the juice, honey and cinnamon
- pour into the pan
- bake uncovered @ 425 for 25-30 min or until the apples are tender
- (if the streusel starts to burn loosely cover the pan with tin foil)
- drizzle the apples with pan juices
- this is really good served with either thick caramel, whip cream or ice cream
