Ingredients
  • 2 pounds of ground beef
  • 1 ground of pork
  • 1 whole onion
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 2 celery sticks, diced
  • 1/2 cup of shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup of peas
  • 2 eggs
  • Lumpia wrappers (can be found at any Asian store)
  • salt and pepper to tast
  • For the Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinger
  • Sugar to tast ( depending on your tast buds
  • Ketchup ( for color)
  • 1 chlie pepper ( Optional)

Directions
  1. Brown the onion and garlic with the meat's
  2. drain
  3. add the celery, carrots, peas, mix well over heat
  4. add the salt and peper to taste
  5. Now I will set it aside for about a half hour
  6. once cooled I will place the food in a mixing bowl
  7. Now for the fun part rolling the Lumpia, pulling the wrapers apart just takes time, practices along with patients ( so buy an extra pack)
  8. Take the two eggs, and beat them in a bowl, and set aside
  9. Take a wraper add about a table spoon and a half of the meat, and roll, make sure you fold the ends inwards, Brush the egg mixture to seal the wrap.
  10. ( Now you can freeze them once you have rolled them)
  11. Fry until golden brown, and enjoy
  12. The sauce
  13. Heat a sauce pan
  14. add the apple vingar
  15. while it is heating start adding you sugar,
  16. I have use 1 and 1 before ( 1 cup Apple Vinger w/1 cup sugar)
  17. it depends on how sweet, and sour you want your sauce.
  18. Pepper to tast, and Chilie pepper for show its up to you.

I used to work with a wonderful woman originally from the Phillipines who would make lumpia for us everytime we had a potluck lunch. I haven't had lumpia since Bonifacia retired, so I am definitely going to try this recipe. Thanks!


You know I have friends in Atwater, CA that are Guamanians and they always had this out for special occasions with friends and family...are you Guamanian??? This would be to much if I came over with this...lol
