Chai Bamidbar

- 2 mugs rice Dream, soy milk, or milk* shopping list
- 6 fresh sage leaves shopping list
- 6 cardamon pods shopping list
- 2 tea bags** of unflavored black tea like Darjelling, Ceylon, Assam, orange Pekoe shopping list
- 2 teaspoons honey or silan to taste shopping list
- *Goat milk is quite authentic for “ba’midbar” but does have a distinctly strong taste you have to like, otherwise it will ruin the experience for you. shopping list

How to make it
- Fill up 2 mugs with milk, rice dream, or soy milk and pour into tea kettle or small pot
- put in tea bags, sage leaves
- open up cardamon pods to expose seeds
- put those in the kettle or pot and include the pod shells
- heat it up
- remove from heat when the mixture looks dark enough for your taste in tea
- pour through a strainer into the mugs
- add honey or silan to taste
- if you're feelin' it, top with your favorite fresh herb, roasted almonds, citrus slice, rose water, cinnamon stick, cocoa powder,...
- stir and drink up with a companion
