How to make it

  • Combine ricotta, sugar, vanilla and creme de cocoa.
  • Beat at medium speed for about 10 minutes, until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in candied fruit and chocolate bits.
  • Line the sides and bottom of a 10" spring form pan with lady fingers.
  • Pour about 1/3 of the ricotta mixture over lady fingers and repeat layer, ending with lady fingers, making a pinwheel design.
  • Refrigerate at least four hours or overnight.
  • Decorate with cherries.
