Wow! Wow! Wow! It's still a loooooong way for me. :p
My son just turned 5 and my daughter will be turning 2 end April. My son is a fussy eater that's why I come up with 'decorating his meal' idea. Sometime he helps too. ;)

I've got a 3 yo boy and a 16 mo girl. Both have been exposed to a variety of foods. But, my son has become pickier as he tries to assert his individuality and right to choose. I've noticed that if i make the food fun - or if he's involved in making it - I have a better shot of him actually eating it.

I have a 9 year old son. He enjoys cooking and especially planting, he pretty much eats anything except onions, once for fun and to show my husband how much my son truely hates them I placed one little piece of onion in his dish, and low and behold he found it! hahaha how funny, it still makes me laugh. He just started loving tomatoes, probably because we are growing them, but they have to be the organic grape tomatoes. He loves healthy food like miso, also though of course if he had the chance he would gorge on sweets, but I make them myself and usually every friday we have a special dessert that we usually make together. Oh he also likes sun dried tomatoes.
So really he's never been fussy about anything, or picky - maybe because it's what he has grown up on? I don't know if i'm ever going to get him to like onions though, and that is okay. He likes garlic though, go figure? I do blend the onions up in the blender when we have chili for dinner, and he never knows.

I think when my son is older, the thing i'm going to miss the most is us cooking together. It's kind of our thing.

Well thanks for letting me talk about my son! I Love love love him.

    Hi Dariana.
I am 61with two daughters 31 and 24, one granddaughter 7 who I love to bits!!
She is very interested in cooking and we almost always bake a cake of some kind when she visits which is most weekends.
I have the task of making her birthday cake each year, her choice of theme or character, this year it was "Sponge Bob" which I loved making.

My granddaughter has always been a healthy eater, as her mum is a vegetarian she was bought up on fresh veg and fruit, although my daughter does give her meat and fish , her dad even gives her squid, and she loves it. She is not a great sweet eater either! she would prefer an orange or pear, her favorite drink is water.
I have noticed that in the last few months she has taken to liking chocolate a lot more, where as she never used to bother.
Thanks for this page, I will talk about my granddaughter any time, any place, any where. LOL

Thanks for sharing everyone! I have no children of my own and being single does not stop me from feeling like a mom. I have 15 nephews and nieces. Their age range from about 1 year old to 23 years old. My nieces especially love being in the kitchen with me on the occasions when i do a little baking etc and I have to admit i do enjoy being in the kitchen with me.

Hi! I have 3 boys and 1 girl. Wyatt is 10 and he will eat anything that you put in front of him. He tends to like strange foods like oysters, sourkraut, brussle sprouts, and pickled herring (not common for a boy his age;O). Morgan is 5 and she is my little health food nut. She would live off of fruit if I would let her and she loves salads. She is not a chocolate or sweets fan in any way. Mason is 4 and his favorites include scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, and m&ms. My baby Trenton is 14 mos old and is the picky one. He likes things a little spicy like tacos and chili. They all love to help me cook and are always willing to TRY anything (but quick to tell me if they wont try it again!)

My middle child is my health nut, It has to be nutrious, secret, I try to make it all that way! I do not buy sweet, chips or just plain junk food! I enjoy teaching my oldest kitchen habits and how to cook and the others just follow along and pitch in when they can, it is great!

U keep Gus stirring and Toni cooking! My 5 year old grand daughter... she loves to cook! And I don't mean easy bake oven... the real deal! She has started doing all the chopping for me... I got one of those onion choppers.. that you push the lid down and it chops in little squares... that cuts carrots that I slice... onions, tomatoes, celery and green peppers... We made a creole dish last week and she ate it... but she is the queen of veggies... so keep them cooking!
