How Did That Get On My Plate.....Anybody see it yet?....Watched it last night and thought it was a bit boring..I'd watch again to give it another chance....Husband said he liked it and would definitely watch again...Yes, I have the husband watching Food Network

Grill It with Bobby Flay....Saw it and love it...Love Bobby anyway.

Dinner Impossible with Michael Symon....Loved it....Gotta share this....While watching it, he was running and I said to husband, OMG, he only has hair on one leg....Hubby busts out laughing and tells me that those are tattoos on his leg, not hair....Guess you had to be here...:)

That's funny wynne! AND I bet you never hear the end of it either.
I picture you both at 100 yrs of age rocking back and forth and him saying...Do you remember when you thought Symon had hair on his leg etc etc?

I picked Symon to win because I thought he had the most uh how can I say it...umph...is that a word? Took it seriously without being serious.

I loved his Dinner Impossible..just great.

Bobby is always great! Love him to pieces.

Can't wait to see Dinner Impossible...hey, wasn't Michael Symon a contestant on Next FN Star one year? He didn't win...I think it was last time, with JAG...they guy I'm thinking about was bald, and his entree on one of the challenges won a cover on Bon Apetit...I think his name was Michael Simon, but, I think he was older than this guy....anyone remember??

Saw Food Detective....My thoughts are that it was awful...I didn't even watch the whole episode and Ted Allen didn't do anything for himself by acting like such a, how shall I put it, idiot.....It was just way too corny and ridiculous for me to watch the whole thing.....This is what I think, there is only one Alton Brown......:)

sparrow - Michael S. was on the food network challenge to be the next Iron Chef - for which he won.... maybe you are thinking of that? - He even competing against this latino guy he had that show 'melting pot' with...

I was disappointed on the food detective - and I agree, I thought he was trying to be a little like Alton - and yes there is ONLY ONE Alton - got my guy watching and more importantly laughing while watching Alton. I find him hilarious - the other night, watching him vs. the news is always a past time for me as I settle down to bed.

As for "how did that get on my plate" - I liked the first one about honey - had no clue they would truck load honey like that to the different factories - but I am finding some of their shows a bit 'formula-stuck' in other words, they seem to be reworking the same sort of show in different ways with not much luck. (my 2 cents worth)

Yeah, I saw Michael Symon on the challenge to be an Iron Chef, too...I thought he was the guy from 2 seasons ago on the next fn star...but, I was remembering his name wrong...the guy I was thinking of was Michael Salmon. Can't remember where I put my glasses 2 seconds after I take them off, but, I remember that dude from 2 seasons ago...LOL...go figure!

    Love Alton, nuff said.

I like Ted on IC America. Can't stand stuff Jeffry Steingarten and Ted is a far better judge, but I totally disliked Ted on Food Detective.

Really liking Bobby Flay on Restaurant Revamp tonight. He is sensitive and caring, also self effacing just like he has been on Throwdown. I'm getting over my prejudice against Bobby. I'm really getting his compassion and spirit. Much nicer than the arrogant person I initially pegged him as.

The new Dinner Impossible is on Aug. 20...Can't wait....

Have to say that I don't see Bobby Flay the way you do, NYM.....I've liked him right from the start and like him even more now....I've always thought of him as down to earth and not arrogant at all...Maybe I'm not seeing something there....I did enjoy Restuarant Revamp...Think he was right on with alot of his suggestions...

Just finished watching Ann Burrell again...Love that chick....:)

Last night I watched that spin off with Chef Ramsey is that restaurant revamp? . Ramsey really made over the whole place from top to bottom, a new menu a new layout and new table side service. He brought the family together as a team, it was nice, difficult emotionally but worth it.
Sort of like Extreme Make Over meets the Nanny were they work on the human behavior and make that over as well.

I've seen that show trigger, but not in awhile....This restaurant revamp has Bobby Flay doing essentially the same thing.

I like Recipe for Success too......Love to see how people make their dreams come true....I have a dream to have a Hot Dog stand someday....:)

The show with Gordon Ramsey is Kitchen Nightmares. Something he started in the U.K. and then brought here after the success of Hell's Kitchen. I believe the episodes they are showing now are from the last season. The new season starts sometime in Sept I believe.

    I am a big Gordon Ramsey fan!~

"Hot Dog Stand" that would make a great show!
Location. Location , Location is the key, plenty of foot traffic, I like your name Wynne.

In our area the hot dog vender's have to move every two hours in fairness to the other vender's. so they all jockey around for the prime spot with the most foot traffic.

I couldn't even get through the whole episode of Road Tasted with the Neelys....I tried though for the sake of this group....TeeHee...There is something about Gina that gets on my last nerve...I don't know how they got a show on Food Network, let alone 2....Is there anyone out there that likes them?....I'm curious.

I watched Ask Aida yesterday for the first time and liked it.....She's entertaining, informative, and delightful to watch.....Any thoughts?

I like watching Big Daddy cook on Sundays. Road tasting is a little annoying, but I do like that all the places the Neely's go to you can have the food delivered to your door. Some of the shops that they have stopped at I would not mind trying like Dangerously Delicious pies. I also like to watch Unwrapped and Bobby Flay, Alton Brown, Paula Deen, Emeril, and many more.Has anyone seen the cooking loft, I was thinking about checking it out this weekend?

I watched Feasting on Waves all the way through last nite. I really enjoyed it...especially the part where he went to St. Bart's and found the place for the inspiration of Jimmy Buffett's Cheeseburger In Paradise. Had to call my sis on that one. She's a parrothead....LOL
