    Garlic Shrimp In Yogurt Sauce

I left a full review on this one on it's page. :)

Couple of lil issues, but not surprising since the source was a "light" magazine, but spices don't have calories, and I really think they should be at least doubled. :)

As for the extra hit at the end, that's to taste, I know... for us, it changed the dish around completely with just a few dashes of heat. :) It didn't make it hot, at all, it just added another layer of flavor I think this needed.

I have no idea why my sauce sorta separated a bit... I've made plenty of yogurt sauces and never had that happen. It wasn't bad and it wasn't noticeable once it was served over the rice, but still curious

It suited our needs and it all got eaten! :)

I love Cooking Lights recipes! But that could be because when we want to eat lighter it's much better tasting than some of the low cal/low fat recipes out there taste lol! I can't tell your sauce broke, but I have had it happen before and although it doesn't really change the flavor, it's not pretty.. I do like the sound of this recipe though, guess I need to get in with the popular people and make some shrimp soon ;D

Too hot of a sauce when yogurt is added will cause separation. Yogurt straight from the fridge could cause separation too. Bring it up to room temperature before use. It's like tempering eggs.
Sauce should have thickened. Try a couple of teaspoons cornstarch next time instead doubling the flour to keep from getting that floury taste.

Nope, yogurt was room temp and I kept my sause low cus I didn't wanna overcook the shrimp...which were great, by the way. :) I added more flour but I was gonna just add arrowroot...I didn't cus I wanted to see if doubling the flour fixed my problem so I could post it... I dunno what happened. It was good, it just was a lil bland and I think with water instead of broth, even more so. It was still a light dish, for sure, luv....but I bet you'd be upping the spices, too. :)

Did someone say RICE ????? I was just wishing I made rice the other day. It just so happens that it, too , was a shrimp recipe, which I have yet to post and review. Guess it was a shrimp weekend. Dont know if I would try shrimp with yogurt. I guess its garlic cream like which sounds good. Excellent photo, Keni. I like how the background ties in with the pinkish veins of the shrimp.........was that intentional???? Adding the pink veins to the shrimp, I mean : P
