Applesauce Custard Pie

Recipe by Good4U: Applesauce Custard Pie
Surprisingly mild flavor. At first blush it looks like a pumpkin pie and the mouth expects the pumpkin flavor. Recipe turns out exactly to spec.
Used a pint jar of my home made Applesauce minus a third of a cup for a breakfast snack.
And used The Best Pie Dough 8 Or 9 Inch Single Pie Shell for the crust. Crust rolled out well.
Made it in a deep dish pie plate. Could have used a regular pie plate. But that just means more nice edge crust to munch on. Guess I could have pre-baked the crust because there is no browning on the bottom crust. Still edible.
No whipped cream on this one. All in all a good recipe. I won't get much of this one. A couple of very small forks of the first piece as a taste test.
