I have also made this a couple of times. This is a GREAT hamburger. Definitely worthy of multiple remakes. And they are so BIG, where one is filling enough :) Patty Melts have always been my favorite, and this one joined it's rank

Yeah, the gouda was actually sliced and smoked, but it was great...and the bacon was thick cut hardwood smoked, too, so nice and rich, smoky filling!
