Banana Cream Cheese Pie
The appearance of this was very off-putting (for me) and I didn't like the mixture of the lemon juice on the banana slices. It says to "dip" the bananas in the lemon juice, but the ingredient list says to slice the bananas. I'm confused. I wasn't crazy about the lemon/banana flavor combo - but maybe that's just me. I was going to take the rest into work but I just didn't like the way it looked. I won't make this again.

The lemon juice doesn't go in the pie. It's just for keeping the bananas from turning brown. Next time put the lemon juice in a little spray bottle and just spritz the bananas. That's all it needs. You shouldn't taste the lemon at all.
You could sprinkle them with citric acid. It will do the same thing. Or spray with vinegar. It will do the same thing.

I thought about draining the slices in a colander, pso. Maybe that would work, too. Good suggestions!

Maybe a layer of vanilla wafers in there would bring the recipe all together for you.

Yep, you are right, pso! I had some bananas to use up and didn't want to make the usual bread so I came here looking. Tons and tons of banana puddings with vanilla wafers as a layer. I had some cream cheese, too, so I ended up using this.

and as I was hunting for that I saw a Banana cake type thing with cream cheese icing that I also wouldn't say no to. :)
