    Brown Sugar Chili
Anyone who has been hanging out in IMI with me for the past few years knows I love to use brown sugar in meat dishes! It rained today (yippeeeee!) so it seemed like a good day for chili. I searched for chili then filtered by ground beef, brown sugar and slow cook and this one was there. I loved it, loved it. Served it up with some garlic bread I made to dip into the brothy part of it. Another picture and a tad more about what I did on the recipe page.

I wanted to make chili for dinner but didn't get around to it..wish I would have seen this earlier and just used my crock pot! I bet the brown sugar and mustard (love mustard) really made this tasty! Love your pic..I bookmarked this one...I'll try it soon!
We had rain today as well..yea!

That looks good, Frankie, and, as usual, your photo is awesome! Did the large amount of brown sugar make the chili sweet? My tried and true chili recipe has brown sugar in it, but not nearly as much, and it's not sweet at all. I've never made it in a slow cooker, but that sounds like a good time saver. Here's my chili recipe posted under my old screen name of bestcooker (I have 56 recipes posted under my old name) if you want another chili recipe that uses brown sugar:

We had our first freeze last night and it's supposed to be 30 tonight - brrr! The daytime temps will be cool at the beginning of next week, so I have the meat thawing to make my first pot of chili. You beat me to it, Frankie :)

The brown sugar sweet was cut by the mustard. It was interesting. At first bite, I could taste the brown sugar and then the mustard kicked in and cut it. Pretty good!
Looks like your chili got a rave review, Bakerme. :-)
