Chicken and Bows

    Chicken And Bows by Pleclare

This is a Taste of Home recipe, I use to make this all the time when the kids were younger and refused to eat red sauce! This is a good jumping off point, or beginner recipe. My kids like it as is, but my husband and I like to add some cayenne and parmesan cheese. I sometimes add bacon along with the chicken or make this with ham or sausages. Today I made it with onion, red pepper, fresh garlic, peas, chicken and added green onions at the end of cooking.
Cream of mushroom soup would be a good sub for the chicken soup. I like to use low sodium chicken soup or use Keni's recipe Make It Yourself Condensed Cream Of Soups so I can control the salt and preservatives!
This feeds our family of four well, with some leftovers for lunch the next day.

That's what I like about pasta dishes, you can usually add any veggie you have on hand:) It sure does look creamy..and delicious! Very nice pic Shona:)

Thanks :) I was just thinking broccoli would be good in this too! Yep any meat or veggie would be good. The cream soup lets this sit overnight without the cream evaporating, so it's good for leftovers or the freezer. The soup also makes this more filling and hearty, good comfort food!
