    Chuckies Chili
This is super good. I found canned diced tomatoes with onion and green pepper already in them in my cupboard so that's what I used. I think I'll make some chili nachos with this tomorrow with the leftovers. Really great recipe and I think I'll try it out on my dad next month for his birthday.

It does seem like a lot of chili. And it isn't too hot?

Hey I like that idea of adding the date on your review. Maybe we should all do that and here in IMI too. That would sure help when searching for an old review. I'd open one up, see the date and then know if I had to go forward or back on the pages to find the one I was looking for. Nice review and pictures BTW.

I LOVE your picture Frankieanne. It's awesome! Plus I just never would have thought about Chili Nachos but that's a great idea and I'll try to remember that for next time! Thanks for the lovely review. I'm very pleased you liked it. As I said, this is my go-to Chili recipe and has been forever. Super simple and straight forward and always yummy. :) Do let me know if your Dad likes it. :)

That looks like another great chili recipe. Love the red onions on top. Gave it a nice crunch, I bet. Thanks for the heads up

    Thank you, everyone.
No - it wasn't hot, pso. I didn't really round my teaspoons, though, and I only used two. I think three teaspoons would be just fine. I was making it with my dad in mind.
MrPiggy is the person who started the dating idea, Lovebreezy. I just stole it. :)
No - those weren't the nachos, ml2c. I'll post a picture of those when I make them - if I have some green onions here. I'll have to look.

That's good. Bought some more chili powder in anticipation of making this dish.

Never would have thought to use porkers in chile but it does make sense. I'm glad you stole the dating thing FrankieAnne from MrPiggy. I'm doing it from now on.

Doubled the recipe without trouble. Sauteed up the onion and pepper first before adding the ground beef to bring out the veggies natural sweetness. Then drained the saute because I used an 80/20 mix.
I got stupid here and added T's instead of t's of chili and garlic powders. Are you sure Chuckieb didn't go back in and edit the recipe? Anyhow, I wouldn't feed this too the disposer. It was on the heat side but nothing we couldn't handle.
Normally I would make this using dried beans but stuck to the recipe in all aspects except for the spice measurement goof-up.
No cheese, this time, to go with it. Used whole wheat Ritz crackers.

Nope, pso, they were teaspoons. That's why I wanted to make it as my dad isn't into heat and I figured he could probably handle it. Your picture looks great though!

That goes a long way explaining why I thought I needed to go to the store for another bottle of chili powder.

Well, at least it was edible for you. Three tablespoons would have not worked at all for me!
By the way - your camera takes great pictures. Or you do. One or the other. Or both. :)

It's a cheap ol' camera. Maybe it's that I use Picasa to edit the pics.
Had to use a flash on this last pic. The first one was too dark.

Glad you wouldn't feed my chili to the disposer Points. High praise!
Frankieanne I love the picture of your nachos done with the chili. I've never thought to do that. Do you just put some chili, cheese and green onions over top? Fun idea.

Yes, that's all I did, Chuckie. Stuck it under the broiler. One could add what they want, of course. As you can probably tell, I had a bag of tortilla chips to use up last weekend. :) Luckily, the chili was a perfect way to do that.
