Ingredients

How to make it

  • Crumble up the ground beef and mix with chopped onion and chopped green pepper in a large pot on the stove. Cook and stir until no pink remains in the hamburger.Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring often. Cut up or mash the tomatoes to separate. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered to let the flavours meld. If the mixture looks too thick, thin it with a bit of the left-over juice from the can of the tomatoes. Serve with nice warm rolls or crusty bread!

Heat's almost too steep for me. Would use 33% less next time.
Edit: Just figured out I used T's instead of t's on the spice measurements. Sorry 'bout the lowered rating. Maybe it could have been a 5 if I followed the recipe more closely. Can't go back in and change the rating.

This was delicious chili! I've been thinking of making this for my father, who loves chili but isn't into heat. I tried it today and used two tsp of chili. I think it would be safe to use three - even for my dad. :) I simmered mine for 45 minutes or so. This is a wonderful recipe. Added a couple of pictures, too and a thread in IMI.
