Churchs Honey Biscuits

Recipe by Cheric: Churchs Honey Biscuits/saved
    A good biscuit.
I don't agree with the biscuit forming method. As you can see in my picture, there is one biscuit formed per instruction in the foreground and the rest were cut with a 3" biscuit cutter. Notice the difference in leavening power when the biscuits are cut as opposed to rolled and patted. It makes for a lighter fluffier biscuit.

Your biscuits are also much prettier than the one instructed. Do they taste similar to church's biscuits? I don't think I've eaten there in 10 yrs lol, but I do remember those delicious biscuits!

Oh gotcha! We have one on every street corner pretty much! I don't eat much fast food anymore but they are pretty famous for their biscuits around here (not so much the chicken for me as I remember).

These sound amazing. We don't have Church's in East TN, but I've heard of it, and seen it in other areas. I used to have a friend that pinched her biscuits off from the bowl, and the were the most perfect looking biscuits I have ever seen in my life! They looked like they'd been rolled and cut. lol Her grandmother taught her how, and she made biscuits by look and feel, no recipe. (Same with pie crusts). She made biscuits every day, and was not as big as a minute, lol : ) Nice memory!

    Those biscuits look delish, P7O!!

ML2C, I actually just tasted a Church's biscuit for the first time the other day and was pleasantly surprised by the sweet honey butter top. But, their chicken is not worth eating in my opinion..

Lori, LOVE your story about your friend. You have such a way with words!

Those are really good biscuits, and I totally agree the last time I had that chicken it was a hot mess. So gross. Never eaten there again and probably never will.
