Crawfish Pie

    A flavorful savory dish. Cooked the quiche in the morning while it was still cool. And had a slice for breakfast.

    Went the short cut route with this one. Store bought crust and frozen crawfish.
    Gave the baking an extra 5 then 10 then 10 more minutes. Quiche looked set but the knife kept coming out with liquid on it. No food pieces just liquid. Pulled it anyway because the bake time was already 50% over recommended time.
    Slice held it's shape when plated and there is just a little liquid in the bottom of the pan. Not even enough to cover.
    Chose this version to make because Chefjeb said words in the comment section.

    I buy frozen quail once in a while at a (chain) grocery store in town. They are from China as well. I think its odd that we can't get quail and crawfish that comes from the US of A.

    Weird on not being able to buy U.S. Quail when you get them walking right past your door step Frankieanne! Crawfish too you'd think would be available through U.S. suppliers.
