    Egg Foo Ramen
I found this while surfing this site the other day (like I really need more bookmarked recipes) and decided to try it out, thinking there was no way it would be a five star. I cut the recipe in half (yes, I did - there are 2 tsp of seasoning powder in a packet, by the way :D) because I didn't know how they would turn out. They were really great! I could see they could use a sauce of some kind but they were good enough plain. I got seven little foos out of the recipe. Ate four for dinner, I'll see how the others heat up for breakfast tomorrow. A bit more detail on the recipe.

Those look like cheesy hashbrowns I never would have thought to mix top ramen with eggs. What is a foo? A patty?

I don't know what it is/means, MrP. I just like the way it sounds. :-P
I meant to add that I think you could use whatever vegetables you wanted in this. Some people (I can't imagine who) would like some mushrooms! :) I think this would be a real kid friendly recipe as well.

That is such and interesting recipe! I'm guessing you chose to leave these meat free? Bacon would be good! Mushrooms too ;0)

That's cool. I like Egg Foo Yung so this'll be a neat variation.

I did leave it meat free but I was thinking it would be fun to use a shrimp flavored ramen and use shrimp, asparagus and onion in it! I'm going to have to try that sometime. Bacon would work, yes, and mushrooms (I guess :P).

I made this for a late dinner. These were good. They tasted familiar. Maybe I have had egg foo young. Seems like a gravy would go well with this I followed the recipe. Even used celery. This was a new use of ramen for me. Added a pic to the recipe page

Celery? Are you trying to make this recipe healthy or something?
    :)
    These are pretty tasty.

Yeh, somehow celery got stuck with me : ) Might have to use it for all my pics instead of my favorite glass. Guess I could make a bloody mary in my glass and have a whole stock sticking out and kill 2 byrds with 1 stone. These were pretty good. Easy too

Made this finally!! It was so good! I added in some shredded carrot and would have loved some chopped mushrooms too, but I was out. I guess I was thinking of the other foo ramen recipe I made and I just dumped everything in the pan at once to make one HUGE cake instead of the smaller ones like I should have. Oh well, it was a tough flip and one side got a little messed up but oh well. Cut it into four pieces and ate one and was satisfied. Very tasty and filling. Added the pic. of my big foo ramen!

I'm going to try the shrimp ramen and make it a foo. I think those little salad shrimp with chopped green onion would be about right.
