Mmmm....lovely picture ML2C. Whenever I see someone say "Good for Kids" I always think it probably means that I'll like it more too. :) Bookmarked to try.

Yum, those look so good! Where did you find green beans? Grocery store? I guess I never looked this time of year. They may have been there all along! :)

Yeah well my kids love green beans just not with my recipe that uses balsamic (which I love them that way). We have a local farmers market that has green beans year around Frankie....

I love green beans, and remember making your balsamic green beans. This recipe looks good, too. It even uses CI which I have been playing with a lot the last few months. Did you use a whole stick of butter?

Thats OK, ML2C. Im used to being ignored :P Thats a ton of butter. I guess it seems like a lot cuz I never put anything on veggies. Well except for mayo on artichokes and asparagus

Well 2 lbs green beans is a lot as well... and not all the butter "sticks" to the green beans, they kind of just bathe in it. You could fry up an egg afterward?! :)

One stick of butter is not at all too much.
Used a whole head of garlic, crushed and simmered in the butter to knock off the raw garlic taste.
My 2 lbs of beans were already snapped blanched and frozen from last year. That might have soaked up any extra butter.
Steamed for 25 minutes. There were still a few ice crystals when the steaming began.
    Simple quick tasty side dish.
