    Soft Corn Casserole/saved

Very unique, easy to make and total comfort food....I cannot stop eating this! Savory, a little sweet from the corn, smoky, creamy......yum!

Can you please link the recipe back here to your thread? :)

This would be a nice change from the usual cornbread I make with chili! I like Joce's idea of creamed corn...love that stuff!

This does look really good. I'm not a big corn casserole person but I do like creamed corn and then when I saw the Chorizo....I was hooked. Bookmarked to try.

Thank you for this great review Christinem! I am so glad you liked it. I have to say I love this recipe too, one of my favorite comfort foods to make.
Good4u and Chuckieb, I have no idea if this would work with creamed corn. Supermarkets don't sell it in Portugal...

You might want to try and make your own creamed corn Ana, it is delicious!

Here is a good recipe for it. It is much better when you take the corn off of fresh corn cobs. Rich Creamed Corn

Today I was craving this casserole, but didn't want to make the whole recipe. Sometimes halving recipes doesn't work, but in this case did work very well. (added a new photo to the recipe)

I made a change. I grilled the chouriço in a cast iron pan and it tastes even better!

It's good to know you can halve this. I usually halve cornbread recipes since we usually can't get through a 9x13 dish of it. What size casserole dish did this normally fit into?

This time I used a 7 inch round soufle dish. But normally I use a 10x8 inch dish.

Awesome, I like the idea of the 7 inch for us, thanks :)
