I was making chicken tacos tonight Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Filling, and I had some tomatillos I had bought recently so this was what I found!! We loved it! Used one gigantic jalapeno and a half of another and while we were eating it I decided I could have probably used the whole second one, it wasn't spicy enough for us. Delicious salsa though, and I will definitely make it again!

I bookmarked both those recipes Michelle. The salsa sounds fabulous. LOVE tomatillos and jalopenos. Great picture!

What a gorgeous green salsa! I really like the looks of that chicken taco filling. I may have to give that a try during my next taco craving.

Have not used tomatillos - this would be a good way to try them. It would have to be very mild for my hubby to even taste it - but one can always try.

This is a good way to use tomatillos for the first time Karen. If you like spicy and Wayne doesn't you could always blend everything up without the japlapenos, then remove his portion and blend yours up with jalapeno. That's what I do with ours for the kids :)

Such a pretty color! Did the tomatillos make the salsa a bit tart Michelle? Lovely picture:)

It was a little tart but not overpowering at all. Kind of like the tartness you would get by adding lime to a tomato salsa. I'm guessing that's why there are no limes in this recipe!
