I was worried about the hot mustard because of the kids but it was not overpowering at all! The honey definitely mellowed it down. I used lemon juice instead of lime and used black sesame seeds. We loved them! Thanks Keni... Miss you!

I've never seen black sesame seeds! I like the idea of honey on asparagus, too!

Saw my first display of Fresh Asparagus in the Grocery store this past weekend which always signifies that spring is just around the corner! Halved the recipe as it was just the two of us. Had all the ingredients in my pantry except Chinese Mustard. Googled to see what I could sub it with and they suggested powdered dry Mustard mixed with a bit of water and a couple of drops of Vinegar. I actually cooked the stalks up in a frying pan on the stove instead of grilling them and I was quite pleased with the result as they were more steamed with that yummy sauce over them than 'grilled'. We ate up every last bite. Delicious! Will go in search for Chinese Mustard for the next time. Great recipe Keni!

The Chinese mustard is very strong, so be careful when using it. In this recipe it works great but I dipped an eggroll, not knowing, in it one time and almost died lol! Small amounts fore waring!!

ROFL ML2C. One wouldn't want "Died from overdose of Chinese Mustard" on their tombstone. Thanks for the heads up! :)

Those look great, Mom......Ive never grilled asparagus before......Ya dont loose them between the grates?.....I know you would do them crosswise , but still??

I think I better try Chuckie's method. I love asparagus and would be not happy if I lost some :P

Usually I lose a couple, have to be delicate lol! It's funny when I clean the ashes out from the grill and find charred food I've lost!
